Richard concentrates his practice on complex civil litigation with an emphasis on business disputes. He has represented clients in federal and state court in a variety of matters including debtor-creditor issues, shareholder disputes, securities issues, commercial transactions, Ponzi scheme clawbacks, commercial real estate and construction contract issues.
In addition, Richard has significant transactional experience advising businesses in all areas of corporate formation, governance, finance, mergers and acquisitions, and shareholder rights. Having owned several businesses, including in the hospitality and technology fields, Richard has firsthand knowledge and experience of the multitude of legal issues faced by business owners and investors.
Richard is originally from New York City and moved to the Tampa area after having lived in Paris, Nairobi, Hong Kong and San Francisco. He graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Russian Studies, and received his law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. He has been licensed in Florida since 2010.
